Digipak Inside

Looking at the insides of a digipak and looking at the common codes and conventions to these are that the images in the middle either run across the two panels in there or are just one single image on the side which doesn't have the CD in front of it. Inside the digipak there is sometimes text displaying the names of the composers for each song in smaller print than the song title. There is also sometimes a small handout which contains further artwork or images and song lists. The actual CD can usually be found in the main part of the digipak in a plastic holder with two panels to each side. So some digipaks can have two cd's within the card case, One for the actual CD and another for behind the scenes or some sort of DVD.

Digipak Research Front and Back

By just looking up and researching common codes and conventions it is clear that for the back and front cover there are only a few things which can be said that are common in most of the music video didipaks. take the design and colour codes for example. Just by looking at a few different ones you can see that the colour and design more often than not does run onto both of these which adds that sense of continuity to the digipak as you can see from these two images of the Police Album Outlandos d'Amour

Also a common feature on the digipak is the use of a record label sign which is also show on the back of this Police digipak where then you can tell who the artist is contracted with and when doing our own digipak we will have to add this in with our own and look at where to put this information.

However the most common feature of a digipak is the song list or track list and this is seen on almost every digipak and this is a common way to give infomation on what the CD holds and tells you what exactly is on the CD and we will definately be using this on our own digipak.
